Germanisches Nationalmuseum

This museum is all about German history. It was more than we could see in a day and very interesting. Living in America it is easy to forget how much time has passed before we even began. There is so much that I cannot even begin to describe this place. So much that is even before Christ was born... Even down to the bronze age.
This is part of the original Schöner Brunnen (Beautiful Fountain)

This is the oldest globe. Doesn´t show the Americas.
The first terrestrial globe was made in 1492 by Martin Behaim (1459-1537) with help from the painter, Georg Glockendon. Behaim was a German mapmaker, navigator, and merchant. He called his first invention of the globe, “Nürnberg Terrestrial Globe.”

Armor just looked cool to me!

There was a special exhibit of some of Rembrant´s sketchings. He was a phenomenal artist.

Golden Cone of Ezelsdorf-Buch, 11th-9th century B.C.
Part of a headpiece. hmmmm Very interesting story to how
this was discovered.
There was even a time when people reserved their spot in church
with their labels... Now people at church just know to not sit in our seat. LOL

Pocket Sundial.... is that not crazy?
