The birthplace of Albert Einstein (1879) and home to the tallest steeple of any cathedral in the world, Ulm Munster Church. It is only second in size to Cologne Cathedral. Without the pews, the church could hold 20,000 people more than twice the population of Ulm at the time the cathedral was begun in 1377. We walked up 768 steps to as high as you can go and boy were our legs sore the next day! We stopped on our way to Memmingen to see friends. If you are ever nearby, you must see it for yourself. Incredible!
We had a nice lunch on the stream that went through the town then saw the church.

The most remarkable treasure is the Chorgestuhl or choir stalls. They were carved by Jorg Syrliun the Elder created between 1469 and 1474. One side for the women and the other for the men.
